2007 Ride with the Eagles - Mount Pleasant, TX
On 4/22/07 I rode 45 miles in the Ride with the Eagles in Mt Pleasant. This was a bike tour put together by the NorthEast Texas Community College.
It was a gorgeous day, 65-75 degrees, clear skies. The ride went well, completed it in 3 hours. They served us hamburgers after the ride.

This is a group of riders out of Arkansas that I rode with. I rode with them the previous week in Mount Vernon. I push them to their limits haha

Here is the start at the entrance to the college. We are waiting for the start announcement.

This is one of the smaller roads we started out on

We eventually get out onto Hwy 11, which has a great median to ride on, nicely paved

The trees provide a nice canopy over many of these country roads

This is the first rest stop, fuel up on Bananas, cookies, and Powerade

Mount Pleasant is hilly like Mount Vernon, as you can see multiple up and down dips in the road ahead of me here. Some of the riders didn't like these hills, I loved them!

This is a very small country road, as you can see a single lane

This is a typical house out here. These people place their house on a 5-20 acre piece of land. I love the trees out here

There are lots of Chicken Farms out here. You can see the silver chicken farms up on the hill. The fans on the outside pull air thru the building to keep temperatures inside reasonable for the chickens to live. This farm also has cattle.
